Outreach
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” (Matthew 25:35-36)
New Creation in Christ believes that sharing the love of Jesus must involve tangible acts of mercy and service to those who need help and encouragement. For that reason we are involved with Room at the Inn ministry, providing food and shelter for an evening every month or two for those who are homeless. We also participate in Pregnancy Resource Center’s Walk for Life each year and provide support and comfort to those who find themselves with a difficult pregnancy. Each Christmas we adopt one of the 100 Neediest Families in St. Louis.
We also support the work of others who are able to reach far beyond our local abilities. We support the Office of Reconciliation Ministries in their work of breaking down walls between people and confronting ignorance and racism.
Youth Ministries
But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
(Luke 18:16)
We believe in building strong families and in helping young people to meet the challenges of today and to successfully find and take their place in the world, making a difference in the lives of their friends and families. To that end, we strive to include young people in every activity of the church and to help them to build strong relationships with members of all ages. We sponsor Gateway to God discovery weekends each year to help teens and young adults to learn about Jesus and to build stronger friendships with those who know Him. In addition to biblical teaching each Sunday through our Christian Connection meetings, we hold occasional social activities to build friendships and to experience wholesome activities in a safe environment.
Small Groups
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
(Ephesians 2:19-20)
In a casual setting Christians are able to build
deeper friendships as they share life experiences, study the Bible together,
encourage and pray for one another. Groups meet at various places around the
St. Louis metro area on nearly every day of the week. If you wish to visit
one of our meetings, please let us know.
